A motorbike taxi driver has won widespread praise on Thai social media for helping the disabled, pregnant women, monks, and homeless people with free taxi rides in Pattaya.
Mr. Padet Chalaohom, 36 from Uttaradit, who is a taxi motorbike driver with the number of 11 at an intersection near Big C in South Pattaya, spoke with one of The Pattaya News reporters this week after posts about him went viral on local Thai message boards.
Mr. Padet told The Pattaya News, “I have lived in Pattaya for 11 years. I have been a taxi motorbike driver for seven years. I have never seen things as tough as right now, however, I want to support those who have it tougher than me.”
“I want to help people during these hard times during the Covid – 19 pandemic.”
“For the disabled, pregnant women, monks and homeless people I am providing free taxi rides to them and will continue to do so every day.”
“For disabled people, pregnant women, monks, and homeless, they can contact me 24 hours a day at 0633911982,” Padet concluded.
