Chonburi announces 30 new local transmission cases of Covid – 19 with the majority in Si Racha

The Chonburi Public Health Office late this afternoon (January 6th) has announced 30 new confirmed cases of local transmission of Covid –19.

Of those 30 cases, 21 are in Si Racha, four are in Banglamung, two are in Mueang Chonburi, two are in Panat Nikhom and one is in Koh Si Chang. The total is 18 males and 12 females.

The total number of Chonburi confirmed cases in this new series of infections is now 420 with one death that we previously reported on, a 47-year-old Thai woman with previous health issues.

Of those 420, 416 are being treated at the hospital/quarantine (Thailand has a policy that all covid positive patients MUST be given treatment and observation and cannot self isolate at home.). Three people have recovered/are now clear of the virus.

Of those 420, 205 are in Banglamung, 142 are in Si Racha, 31 are in Mueang Chonburi, 12 are in Ban Bueng, 12 are near Rayong, 10 are in Sattahip, seven are in Panat Nikhom,  and one is in Koh Si Chang.

Yesterday (January 5th)the Chonburi Public Health Office had announced 50 new confirmed cases of local transmissions of Covid –19.
