The number of Covid-19 Coronavirus domestic cases has reached 241 people infected in the past 24 hours, according to the Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) this morning, December 30th.
A total of nine infected patients in Samut Sakhon (4), Bangkok (2), Ayutthaya (1), Ranong (1) and Nonthaburi (1), are confirmed to be connected to a first cluster at a Samut Sakhon central seafood market while three infected patients, each in Ayutthaya, Rayong, and Amnat Charoen, were connected to a second cluster at an alleged Rayong illegal gambling den.
29 domestic cases were found to have been engaged in public spaces and community areas or have been working in high-risk jobs such as medical officers or contacting infected patients. The confirmed cases are in Bangkok 15, Nakhon Pathom 5, Phetchaburi 3, Saraburi 3, Samut Prakan 1, Nakhon Nayok 1, and Nonthaburi 1.
Hundreds of infected patients are reportedly being under disease investigation by provincial public health authorities in various provinces nationwide, including Chonburi, Rayong, Nonthaburi, Samut Sakhon, Chantaburi, and Trat. TPN and The Pattaya News will have a second Chonburi article detailing cases following announcements from the Chonburi Public Health Department this afternoon.
As of this morning, about 48 provinces are found to have at least one confirmed case of Covid-19 Coronavirus. The latest provinces are Ranong, Amnat Charoen, and Trat.
Meanwhile, in Chonburi, local authorities have implemented highly controlled measures in Pattaya and Banglamung areas due to the increasing number of cluster cases from the Samut Sakhon seafood market and an illegal gambling warehouse in Rayong, where some of the gamblers also went to Chonburi.
Thai people are being reminded to strictly follow “DMHTT” health restrictions, which are to perform Distancing, Mask Wearing, Hand Washing, Testing, and Thai Chana application.
