Two students injured in Pattaya area after pickup truck collides with their motorbike

Two students have sustained injuries after a pickup truck crashed into their motorbike in Banglamung yesterday. One of the students had sustained additional injuries after her motorbike kickstand pierced into her leg.

Captain Pisarn Hongfakaew of the Banglamung Police was notified of the accident yesterday (December 28th) in the afternoon on Sukhumvit Road near the Toyota Used Car center.

They and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find a 17 year old female student who was the motorbike driver. Her name was withheld due to being a minor.

Her left leg was pierced by the motorbike kickstand. Her passenger has sustained minor injuries.

Rescue workers cut the kickstand from the motorbike. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment and removal of the kickstand.

Nearby, emergency workers found a damaged pickup truck. The driver, Mr. Somkit Rayan, 63, was at the scene. He did not give a public statement.

Police are continuing their investigation to find the exact cause of the accident.
