Multiple time motorbike thief who has spent previous time in prison for theft arrested again in Pattaya

Pattaya-

A man who Pattaya City Police are referring to as a member of a gang of organized motorbike thieves was arrested yesterday and it wasn’t the first time.

A team of the Pattaya City Police led by the Pattaya City Police Chief Colonel Pisit Poonsab  arrested Me Somdet ‘Ton’ Suebyubon, 31, yesterday, December 27th, 2020.

Colonel Pisit told The Pattaya News, “Many victims have reported to Pattaya Police that their motorbikes were stolen over the past several weeks.”

“We conducted an in depth investigation to discover the suspect by researching and reviewing hours of CCTV footage at and around the scenes of the reported crimes.”

“He was arrested in Soi Tee Din in South Pattaya with a stolen motorbike following the investigation.”

“The suspect has admitted to us in an interview that he has stolen many motorbikes recently.” Colonel Piset added.

“This individual has a history of motorbike theft. He was a prominent member of an organized gang of motorbike thieves in the Chonburi area approximately eight years ago. This particular gang not only stole motorbikes but also assaulted drivers, throwing them off their vehicles and then taking their bikes. He was arrested, charged and deemed guilty due to involvement with these prior crimes.” Colonel Piset concluded.

The suspect, according to a report shown to The Pattaya News by Pattaya City Police, had been released from prison about two years ago after serving time for previous charges stemming from stealing motorbikes. He remains in police custody and will appear in court later this week for a first appearance, facing multiple charges of vehicle theft.
