A Christmas Eve message from The Pattaya News

From the Editor:

It’s Christmas Eve, 2020, and what a year it has been.

I could write a novel on how this year has affected Pattaya City and the lives of those who love the city, both expats and tourists-however, I won’t. We will likely touch more on that in a future New Year’s message and a reflection on the past year, the top news and events (and it wasn’t just Covid-19) in Pattaya City.

We have grown significantly over the past year and we wanted to thank all of our readers, supporters and yes critics as you help us improve. We strive to be neutral, unbiased and factual providing honest local and national news that is focused on what is important to our local residents and those who visit Pattaya on a regular basis. We value each and every one of you and although many of you may have different opinions and thoughts (a quick look at the comments on almost any article confirms that) nearly all of us share a common interest in Pattaya and Thailand and almost none of us have not been affected by the rollercoaster that is 2020.

We have great plans in store for 2021 but will not change our core concept-Free, no paywalls, unbiased, self-written, locally reported/filmed and non aggregated news in Pattaya and Thailand. We aren’t perfect (Every time we make a spelling error you are sure to let us know and we appreciate that!), but we improve daily and want to truly serve our readers and our community to make Pattaya a better place for all of us and hopefully see the city rise up again after a difficult 2020 and likely tough first half of 2021.

We here at The Pattaya News want to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, whatever holiday you may celebrate. We hope that if you find yourself depressed or having problems at this time when many countries are facing difficult restrictions and lockdowns due to Covid-19 that you reach out for help. We personally suggest in Thailand the Samaritans of Thailand, which can be found here. This year isn’t like any other, but it has likely taught us a lot about ourselves and each other.

We truly and sincerely hope that, no matter our different opinions or views, we are able to remember at the end of the day we are all human and that if anything is needed after this year it is patience, empathy, understanding and caring for each other.

For those of you not able to currently visit Thailand, we truly hope to see you again in 2021 and you are missed.

May all your blessings come true, May you get what you want for Christmas this year and to all a good night!

Thank you so much for your support, your feedback and a shared goal of making this community better.
