Driver dies after his motorbike collides with sedan in Si Racha

A male Thai driver has been pronounced dead at the scene after his motorbike crashed into a sedan in Si Racha.

Rescue workers were notified of the accident earlier this week on Road Number 331 in Pinthong, Nongkham.

They and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find Mr. Wanchai Naksomboon, 35, who was unconscious and had sustained serious head injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene a short period of time later despite the best efforts of rescue staff.

Nearby, rescue workers found the damaged motorbike and sedan. The sedan driver, Mr. Sombat Klingklab, 54, was waiting for police at the scene. He was not injured.

Sombat told police that he was making a U-turn when Wanchai, who was allegedly driving at high speed crashed into his sedan.

Si Racha police told The Pattaya News they are reviewing the incident to determine if they will file any potential legal charges.
