Pattaya-
The following is our weekly feature in which we ask our readers a news related question and highlight your answers and feedback at the end of each week.
This week, we want to ask what advice you would give hospitality tourism business owners to “win back customers” as borders reopen and more people return to Pattaya, likely sometime next year? (Keeping in mind it may be some time yet.)
We have read lots of criticism on the state of tourism prior to Covid19. Let’s say in theory business owners who will still be here have the chance to re-land a first impression on customers who come back. This includes those going through quarantine now.
Please keep it to things a single business owner can control and try to think in terms of businesses that tourists visit in Pattaya. (Hotels, restaurants, bars, malls, Nightclubs, tourist attractions, transportation) Suggesting the strength of the baht is lowered or laws are changed is not something a business owner can do directly to impact their business. Suggesting changes to law enforcement organizations, visas and driver’s licenses, immigration or the government can not be impacted by a single business owner so leave those out too.
If you were running a business what changes, if anything, would you do when reopening to large numbers of tourists? Also, as a note, no personal attacks on business in this thread as that violates Thailand’s libel and slander laws. Keep it focused on constructive criticism to make things better.
