Two injured, including Iranian man, in Central Pattaya motorbike collision

Pattaya-

A motorbike driver has sustained serious injuries after colliding with an Iranian man driving a motorbike in Pattaya last night (December 6th).

Lieutenant Colonel Wiranchana Pangkam of the Pattaya City Police was notified of the accident at 11:00 PM at the entrance of Soi 8 in Central Pattaya.

Police, emergency responders and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find two damaged motorbikes on the road.

The motorbike driver, Mr. AMIR KAMALI, 36, an Iranian national, and his passenger Ms. Suwanna Nanrit, 23, had sustained minor injuries.

The other unidentified Thai male motorbike driver who was unconscious, aged around 40, had sustained serious injuries. He was rushed to a hospital for medical assistance and police are working on identifying the man, who was not carrying any sort of license or paperwork.

Ms. Suwanna told police that her Iranian boyfriend was driving the motorbike out from a side soi to cross the road before the collision with the unidentified motorbike driver on the main road. The fault of the incident, however, was not immediately made clear.

Pattaya police are reviewing CCTV in the vicinity to determine potential legal liability and investigate the exact cause of the accident.
