Sattahip, Chonburi-
Eighteen cases of local beach encroaching structures have been demolished at Amphoe Beach in the Na Jomtien sub-district.
The demolishment was led by the Pattaya Marine Office Chief Eakkarat Kantharoe.
Mr. Eakkarat told The Pattaya News that “These eighteen cases had been ordered to demolish within 30 days yesterday after the court made a final judgment.”
“Most of these buildings removed are fishermen who have cooperated to move their items out from their structures. It took about six hours to complete the demolishment.”
“We confirm that we are fair about the demolishment with both locals and business operators.”
“For business operators, after we have filed reports and sent their notices, they filed reports at appeal courts so we have not yet demolished these buildings.”
“If the final judge said they are wrong, we are going to demolish their structures too.” Eakkarat added.
