Driver barely escapes pickup truck fire in Si Racha-Video

Si Racha, Chonburi-

A large fire caught on video completely destroyed a pickup truck whose driver narrowly escaped the blaze without injury in Si Racha this week.

The Khao Kheow Highway Police was notified of the fire at night earlier this week on the Motorway 7 Section 3 in the Thung Sukkhla sub-district.

Firefighters with fire engines and emergency responders arrived at the scene to find a pickup truck completely ablaze in the middle of Motorway Number Seven.

The area was temporarily blocked by law enforcement officers and traffic was backed up for a significant period of time while firefighters dealt with the blaze.

It took about fifteen minutes for firefighters to control the fire. The pickup truck was totally destroyed as a result of the flames.

The driver of the pickup truck who was named only as Mr. Puripat, 27, told police that the tire exploded, causing him to slightly lose control before the fire started while he was driving.  Luckily, he managed to stop the vehicle versus crash and escaped the inferno without suffering any injuries. Law enforcement is looking into the exact cause of the blaze but at this time no legal charges are expected.
