Chonburi-
Fire destroyed a monk housing complex at a temple in the Panat Nikhom district last week (November 27th). No injuries were reported.
Firefighters were notified of the fire at 1:30 P.M. at the Sana Temple in the Na Wanghin sub-district.
Firefighters, along with local Thai press, arrived at the two story monk housing complex. The fire was found to be ablaze on the second floor of the residence. It took about thirty minutes for firefighters to control the fire. The house was totally destroyed during the inferno.
The Forensic Police are still investigating to find the cause of the fire. The money seen in the photo below was recovered from donation pots in the building. Monks were reportedly not present in the building at the time of the blaze and were participating in community activities nearby. The monks will be moved to temporary housing according to the Abbott.
