Intoxicated SUV driver in custody after crashing into Pattaya power pole

Pattaya-

An intoxicated SUV driver is in custody after crashing into a power pole in Pattaya on Wednesday, November 25th.

The Pattaya City Police was notified of the accident at 4:00 AM Wednesday morning on Pattaya Third Road in Naklua.

The Pattaya Police and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find a damaged SUV slammed into a broken power pole, damaged from the strength of the impact and collision.

The intoxicated driver, Mr. Tanakorn Ngornkam, 28, had sustained minor injuries.

A witness, Mr. Jirawat Siwarom, 49, hotel security nearby, told The Pattaya News, “The SUV was driving at high speed before crashing into a nearby power pole.”

Tanakorn, who was talking in circles according to police, was temporarily jailed at the Pattaya police station for further legal action. He failed a blood alcohol test, according to police, although the exact level of intoxication was not released to the Pattaya press. Tanakorn was not injured in the accident.
