On Saturday, (November 23rd), late at night, the Na Jomtien Police found Ms. Taewika Yutthida and a man whose name, nationality and age was not given at a house in the Na Jomtien area after following a tip given following news reports of the missing woman. She was taken to the Na Jomtien Police Station in Sattahip.
Police persuaded Ms. Taewika to go back home with her mother and daughter but she had initially refused. She wanted to stay with the man and appeared to be suffering from memory loss, psychosis and cognitive issues.
However, Na Jomtien police finally separated her from the man. The man was also taken to the Na Jomtien police station for drug testing after what police said was suspicious behavior. He will also reportedly be interrogated regarding the situation and according to police was not being entirely cooperative or forthcoming regarding the entire situation.
Mrs. Chatanapa told The Pattaya News, “I am very glad that my daughter was found. My daughter cannot remember me or her daughter and appears very confused and suffering from mental related illness. She will be taken to a hospital for treatment and observation.”
Ms. Taewika told Na Jomtien police, “I used to work at beer bars in Pattaya. On the day in question I went missing I was very intoxicated and left the bar, where after I met the man I was with..”
“I could not remember what happened over the next week. I still don’t really recognize my mother or my own daughter.” Taewika stated, with her voice still showing visible signs of confusion.
Taewika reportedly will return to her home province with her mother and daughter following treatment at a local hospital.
