Intoxicated “best” friends injured after fighting with kitchen knives in Banglamung

Banglamung-

Two intoxicated “best” friends have been injured after they had a physical altercation with kitchen knives and a stove in Banglamung yesterday.

Rescue workers were notified of the incident after midnight yesterday (November 20th) at a rental room in Khao Maikaew.

Rescue staff and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find two injured men who were named as Mr. Chaiyaphon Kannarat, 48, and Mr. Apinan Kongprem, 42.

They had both sustained various injuries from multiple slash wounds. They were taken to a local hospital for medical assistance.  Banglamung police at the scene found a kitchen knife which was about 30 centimeters long and a broken charcoal stove that had been damaged during the altercation.

Mr. Apinan reportedly told Banglamung police, “We are best friends and we live together in the same room.”

“We were heavily drinking alcohol before starting an argument which turned into utilizing weapons.” Apinan added, without explaining in detail what the argument had been about.

Both men have reportedly refused to press charges and stated that despite the knife battle, they were still “best” friends and would resolve the situation sober amicably.
