The Sane Suk Mayor Mr. Rarongchai Khumpluem posted a poster from the Sane Suk Municipality on his Facebook this week.

The poster read, “Bang Saen beach is a public beach which has been protected by laws that ban alcohol sales and drinking and the ban is now being enforced.”

“The punishment of breaking the law are fines up to 10,000 baht or imprisonment up to six months or both.” The poster concluded.

The Pattaya News noted that Bang Saen beach is in Saen Suk Municipality. Additionally, technically speaking drinking is prohibited on Pattaya and Jomtien beaches but not widely enforced.
