Stray kitten rescued from mud under Chonburi bridge, finds a new home

Chonburi-

A kitten has been rescued from thick mud under a bridge in Chonburi earlier this weekend.

Rescue workers were notified of the kitten stuck in the mud over the weekend (November 13th) under a bridge in the Samet sub-district in Mueang Chonburi.

A rescue worker, Mr. Sathorn Sornsin, went down under the bridge in the thick mud to rescue the kitten.

The weak kitten was found struggling in the mud, but alive. It took about half an hour to catch the kitten and successfully remove it from the cesspool.

Sathorn and the kitten were safely pulled up from the mud. Sathorn discovered it is a male black kitten aged about one month.

Mr. Sathorn told The Pattaya News, “I saw the kitten’s eyes in the mud. I was very tired but very happy to help the kitten.

Ms. Massaya Kumueang, 27, who encouraged rescue workers on the bridge and first noticed the cat struggling and called for help asked to have the kitten. The kitten was given medical care but otherwise despite the incident was healthy and likely happy to find a new home. The kitten was believed to be a stray previously.
