Chonburi motorbike driver in critical condition after crashing into power pole

Chonburi –

A motorbike driver is in critical condition after crashing into a power pole in Pan Thong this morning (November 4th).

The Pan Thong Police was notified of the accident at 10:00 AM on the Nong Tamlueng – Pan Thong Road in Nong Tam Lueng.

They arrived at the scene to find Mr. Amue Mayare, 31. He had sustained serious head injuries and was found bleeding heavily on the road. He had been wearing a protective motorbike helmet, however, it appeared to have come off during the crash and was found lying on the ground nearby. Police are unsure if the helmet had been properly secured.

He was rushed to a local hospital for medical assistance. Doctors stated the driver remains in critical condition as of press time. Nearby, rescue workers located his damaged motorbike. The power pole it had ran into nearby had been damaged.

There were not witnesses to the incident, therefore, Pan Thong police are reviewing CCTV to determine the exact cause of the accident.
