Young driver killed after his pickup truck collides with another vehicle in Chonburi

Chonburi-

A young driver has been pronounced dead at the scene after a high speed pickup truck crash involving a sedan in Mueang Chonburi last night (November 1st).

The Mueang Chonburi Police was notified of the accident at 8:10 PM on Baan Suan – Leang Mueang 1 Road (Ramachu) in the Na Pa sub-district.

Police and rescue workers arrived at the scene to find the overturned pickup truck and the sedan on the side of the road.

The pickup truck driver, Mr. Supatchai Chaichompoo, 23, was later pronounced dead at the scene.

A witness, Mr. Saksit Tira, 58, told the Thai press, “The pickup truck was driving at very high speed before crashing into the sedan and flipping over into the road.”

The condition of the driver of the sedan was not immediately made available.

Mueang Chonburi police are checking CCTV nearby to find the exact cause of the accident.
