Bangkok –
A Pro-democracy protest today, October 29, has taken over the Silom district of Bangkok for an artistic and fashionable gathering under the “People’s Runway” theme.
The creative protest this evening was in protest to Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari’s fashion show which has according to the protesters allegedly been spending taxpayers’ money to produce its items of clothing, merchandise, and shows. The Pattaya News has not independently verified these claims by the protesters and stresses that these views are the protesters own.

Many politically satirical vinyl posters, artwork, and performances have occupied Silom Road in front of Sri Maha Mariamman Temple since 5:00 PM. while some pro-democracy activists were giving speeches in front of the Silom Complex near Saladang BTS station.
A highlight of the so-called “People’s Runway” was a satirical red carpet fashion show at 7:00 PM. Meanwhile, the Sirivannavari brand fashion show is currently being held at Mandarin Oriental Bangkok.

At 5:30 PM, officials from the Yannawa Police Station arrived at the gathering point and asked the protesters to end the demonstration by 7:00 PM as it had not been granted permission by the authorities. However, the gathering has not yet been reportedly called off as of this evening.
Meanwhile, other pro-democracy gatherings are also being held in front of Nation Media Group and at BTS Skywalk in front of the MBK department store. All rallies have been reportedly peaceful so far.
