Pattaya, Thailand-The Eastern Colorful Beach Road Festival, which is focused on food, culture and music has begun in Pattaya, Thailand and runs through the weekend on Beach Road near Central Festival shopping mall.
The event highlights each province in the Eastern part of Thailand, including Chonburi as well as specific areas like Pattaya. Each province has representatives from restaurants, hotels, vendors, tourist attractions and culture. A wide selection of discounts and delicious food is available at the event.
Admission to the event is free but Covid-19 related health measures such as mask wearing and social distancing as well as mandatory temperature checks and washing hands with hand sanitizer are required, despite Pattaya not having recorded a single confirmed case of Covid-19 in almost seven months.
The first night of the event, which was October 22nd, 2020, saw an overall steady turnout of local residents observed by Pattaya News reporters, both foreign and Thai and domestic tourists. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic Thailand’s borders currently still remain closed to general tourism and the majority of foreigners except for special limited groups of qualified individuals, such as those who are married or with work permits.
The event also features “mini-concerts” each day with popular Thai artists such as the Musketeers and Bam Pailin.
