Following reports in various Thai media, including us, yesterday afternoon of heavy storms over the weekend damaging local resident’s homes, Pattaya City leaders including the Mayor and the Sheriff of Banglamung personally visited damaged homes of those affected.

The storms took place in the early morning hours of October 3, 2020, and caused some scattered home flooding incidents in the Banglamung area, severely damaging at least ten homes according to the Pattaya City Mayor Sonthaya Khunpluem.
Mr. Amnat Charoensri, Banglamung Sheriff, told the Pattaya News the primary villages affected were given assistance by city officials and volunteers to clean up after the storms. This included helping to repair damaged property.
Pattaya City officials also handed out survival bags with various supplies for those affected.
Mr. Charoensri told the Pattaya News that Pattaya City would be working with the villagers to build a barrier in the affected area to prevent future flooding incidents.
