Pattaya likely to see isolated storms today on the last day of Buddhist Lent

Thailand-

Today marks the end of Buddhist Lent in Thailand and is also likely to bring heavy rain and isolated storms across the country, especially in the North and Northeast of the Kingdom.

Chonburi, the home of TPN is likely to see isolated thunder storms especially in the morning and early evening hours.

In the North and Northeast especially the Thai Meteorological Department, or TMD, has warned of heavy rains at times and the potential of flooding and landslides in particularly heavy hit areas.

This is due to a monsoon trough lying across the lower North, the Central, the East and the Lower Northeast parts of Thailand. Additionally a low pressure cell is entering the Kingdom over the coast of central Vietnam. Meanwhile, a Southwest monsoon over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand also contributes to the potential for rain.
