One killed, one in coma in Chonburi after motorbike crash

Panat Nikhom, Chonburi-

One driver has died while another driver was unconscious and reportedly in a coma after their motorbikes collided in the Panat Nikhom district last night.

The Bor Thong Police were notified of the accident at 9:00 PM in the Tat Thong sub district.

Police and the Sawang Het rescue team arrived at the scene to find two wrecked motorbikes on the road.

Nearby, they found the body of Mr, Pakkaphong Jaroennet, 36 on the side of the road. He was believed to have died instantly in the accident.

Another driver, Mr. Sorn Pangsuk, 23 was unconscious. He was rushed to a local hospital and is reportedly still in a coma as of press time.

A witness who was out for a walk nearby, Mr. Somsong Sangeiat, age not given, said the two motorbike drivers were driving in opposite directions at high speed before the collision. He was not positive who was responsible for the accident.

Mr. Pakkaphong’s relative, who did not discern his exact relation, told The Pattaya News Mr. Pakkaphong was drinking alcohol at his house before leaving and driving.

Bor Thong police are continuing their investigation to find the exact cause of the accident and determine fault.
