Two injured after two vehicles overturn in Chonburi

Two drivers were injured after both of their vehicles were overturned in a collision in Ban Bueang this week.

Ban Bueng Police was notified of the accident at 9:30 PM Sunday night on Road Number 344 in Ban Bueng – Chonburi Road in the Nong Samsark sub district.

Police and emergency responders arrived at the scene to find an overturned container truck and a small car lying in a ditch off the side of the road. A third vehicle that had suffered minor damage after being hit by the colliding vehicles was parked on the side of the road with the uninjured driver waiting for police.

Two drivers sustained injuries in the accident who were named as Mr. Pitiphat Krongrung, 52, and Narongsak Wattana, 21. They were both taken to a local hospital for medical assistance.

A third smaller pick-up truck driver, Mr. Pinate Montri, 45, told Ban Bueang police that the other two vehicles were both driving at allegedly high speed when they collided, sending one into his vehicle causing minor damage before the other two vehicles overturned.

Ban Bueng police are continuing their investigation for further potential legal action and to determine the exact fault behind the accident.
