Choburi-

A motorbike handbrake pierced through a woman’s foot after her motorbike collided with a SUV in Mueang Chonburi this afternoon.

Captain Daecha Dindan of the Don Huafor Police was notified of the accident at an intersection on Don – Sattahip Road in the Don Huafor sub-district of Chonburi.

Police, emergency responders and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find Ms. Siriluck Sathit, 35. Her foot had been pierced by her motorbike’s handbrake and she was trapped alongside the vehicle.

Rescue workers used a hydraulic cutter to cut the handbrake from the motorbike and free the victim, who did not suffer any other injuries. Rescue staff helped her stay calm during the harrowing incident.

She was rushed to a local hospital to remove the handbrake out of her injured foot.

The SUV driver, whose name was not given, claimed that Siriluck changed her lane quickly and without notice causing him to be unable to avoid the crash.

Don Huafor police are checking CCTV footage to verify his story and consider potential legal action depending on what evidence arises.
