Woman arrested over alleged human trafficking and providing underage prostitutes for customers in Pattaya

A woman has been arrested for alleged human trafficking and providing underage teenagers for customers in Pattaya.

The arrest was led by Captain Narongsak Moonsan of the Anti Trafficking in Persons Division (ATPD) police today.

The Thai woman, named by police only as Kannika, 35, had been arrested in Soi Korpai, Nongprue following an arrest warrant from the Pattaya Provincial Court originally issued in June.

The arrest came after police had investigated and found that Kannika was allegedly running a modeling agency who provided underage girls for customers in the Pattaya area via LINE application.

She is facing charges of human trafficking with females aged under eighteen and against the Computer Crimes Act.
