Chonburi-
A man has been arrested in Chonburi yesterday after he reportedly stole a taxi stopped in Chachoengsao while traveling from Bangkok.
The Bor Thong Police in Chonburi was notified from the Bang Kla Police in Chachoengsao yesterday afternoon of the alleged theft.
The taxi was tracked by a GPS and was found dumped near a school in the Bor Thong District. No one was in the taxi when it was discovered.
The suspect, a Thai man named Preecha Yormin, 42, was arrested on a bus in Ban Bueng, Chonburi.
The taxi driver, whose name was not given to the press, told police that his passenger hired a taxi from Bangkok to Chonburi.
The driver stopped at a gas station in Bangkla, Chachoengsao to use the toilet before his passenger stole the taxi, reportedly because the driver was allegedly going too slow and Preecha was upset at making the stop.
Police later found that Preecha was a former patient at a mental hospital and a history of similar incidents. Preecha remains in police custody after the incident.
