Fire destroys clothing shop and home in Sattahip

Sattahip-

A fire caused significant damage and destroyed a portion of a clothes seller’s home in Sattahip.

The Sattahip Police was notified of the fire at 3:20 PM yesterday at a house in Sattahip.

Fire fighters with multiple fire engines and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find lots of smoke where the fire was already ablaze.

It took about half an hour to control the fire. The fire had reportedly started from a bedroom in the home above where clothes are stored for sale.

Ms. Ratree Namwong, 32, who rents the house, told police that she was not at home when the fire started.

She believed that the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit.

She said it was very lucky that fire fighters were able to control the fire quickly. Lots of clothes were being kept at the home on the bottom level for sale, she added.

Firefighters are investigating the home to determine the exact cause of the fire.
