Motorbike driver seriously injured after crashing into trailer truck in Pattaya

Pattaya-

An unidentified man has sustained serious injuries after his motorbike crashed into a trailer truck in Pattaya after midnight today. The trailer truck driver reportedly fled the scene.

Emergency responders were notified of the accident at 1:00 AM on Sukhumvit 19 Road in Naklua.

They and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find the damaged motorbike in question at the back of the trailer truck. The trailer truck driver was not found at the scene and had left before police officers arrived.

An injured Thai man who was aged around 25-30 years old and was unconscious was found nearby. He has sustained serious head injuries. He was rushed to a local hospital for medical assistance.

A witness Mr. Patcharaphon Yamarsa, 28, told The Pattaya News that the motorbike was driving at high speed before crashing into the back of the trailer truck. He was unsure why the trailer truck driver fled as according to his report the driver was not at fault.

Pattaya police are continuing their investigation to find the exact cause of the accident and locate the missing truck driver.
