Pattaya City officials crack down on illegal parking attendants, will start painting parking spaces on Beach Road this week

Following a report on The Pattaya News and other local media, Pattaya City officials have cracked down on illegal parking attendants in Pattaya near Walking Street.

Pattaya Officials were being urged by local residents to investigate after a group of unidentified men were reported to be collecting parking fees from tourists near Pattaya Walking Street in South Pattaya.

Yesterday afternoon, the Pattaya City Deputy Mayor Ronnakit Eakkasing and the head of Pattaya City Law Enforcement Major Jeerawat Sukonthasap inspected the area in question.

Deputy Mayor Ronnakit said those men might be homeless people who were collecting money from tourists for parking spaces near Walking Street.

Today, September 15, 2020, a parking area is being painted for both cars and motorbikes on Beach Road. Pattaya City Law Enforcement officers are patrolling nearby 24 hours a day to prevent anyone collecting parking fees in public areas.
