The Myanmar worker, named only as Mr. Auto, 27, had sustained serious injuries and was unconcious after a large pile of dirt collapsed on top of him.

It took about an hour to move him out from the trench. He was rushed to a local hospital.

Another Myanmar worker, who declined to give his name, told rescue workers that it was raining lightly before the incident.

A backhoe was digging in the soil in which Mr. Auto was working before the soil collapsed.

Officials are reportedly set to investigate the incident.
