Homeless woman arrested after being caught taking crystal meth on public road in Pattaya

Pattaya-

A homeless woman has been arrested this morning while taking crystal methamphetamine on a road in Pattaya.

The Pattaya City Police was notified of the incident at 12:30 AM this morning on Thep Prasit Road.

Police and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find Ms Suwanit Janmeechai, 38, from Saraburi. She was taking crystal methamphetamine while people were passing by.

She was not cooperative and insulted police while they were arresting her to bring her to the Pattaya City Police Station.

Social media had also shared video of this woman who was taking drugs along other roads in Pattaya this week in which she seemingly did not care if Thai and foreign tourists were passing by.

This is only the latest in a series of homeless incidents that have continued to raise concerns from residents and authorities as the homeless problem in Pattaya increases due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
