A trailer truck driver has been pronounced dead at the scene after his trailer truck crashed into several road barriers before flipping over in Mueang Chonburi early this morning.

Emergency responders were notified of the accident at 5:30 AM on Burapha Withi Road in Klong Tamru.

The rescue staff arrived at the scene to find a flipped trailer truck on the road. Under the front of the truck rescue staff found the body of the driver, Mr Panuwat, 33. He had been ejected from the vehicle and was not wearing a seatbelt. No last name was given to The Pattaya News.

Mr. Pitiphong Kwanma, 37, who is another trailer truck driver with the same company said he was driving the other trailer truck following Mr Panuwat’s truck.

Mr. Panuwat’s truck had swerved and slammed into road barriers before flipping over. Pittiphong believed that Mr. Panuwat might have fallen asleep at the wheel.

However, Chonburi police are checking CCTV footage nearby to find the exact cause of the accident.
