Truck carrying chemicals catches fire in Chonburi – VIDEO

A truck which was carrying chemicals caught fire in Banglamung this morning.

Lieutenant Nattajak Lorchotianan of the Banglamung Police was notified of the incident at 5:30 AM early this morning on Sukhumvit Road near the Wat Sawang Fah Intersection.

Fire fighters and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find the burning truck on the road. The fire was soon put under control.

The truck driver, 51 year old Mr. Kritsada Sawangarun told The Pattaya News that a tire exploded while he was taking a U-turn.

The truck was carrying chemicals but the container had already been removed from the engine by Kritsada when the fire started very quickly.

He used a fire extinguisher to put out the fire before calling fire fighters. Emergency service workers confirmed the chemicals were not exposed to the environment. The exact chemicals were not named to the press.
