Pattaya officials warn of increased jellyfish danger on local beaches for swimmers

Pattaya-

Pattaya City Public Relations has warned local residents that after a series of tropical depressions and high winds recently that there have been rising numbers of jellyfish sightings and stings on local beaches such as Jomtien Beach and Koh Larn.

The jellyfish had been displaced from other waters due to the recent storms and large amounts had been seen locally.

Officials stated that the types of jellyfish in the area were not capable of fatal stings but were severely painful and swimmers should use caution in the local waters.

Pattaya City officials said that all lifeguards on the area beaches had received training on how to treat jellyfish related stings.
