Woman found deceased in garbage pile in Chonburi, police suspect murder

A 28 year old woman was found deceased in Chonburi today with head injuries in Mueang Chonburi.

Her body was found in a garbage pile in a forest near the motorway in Nong Ree. The victim was partially naked.

The body was identified as Ms. Chonthicha Nintanonm, 28 from Nakhon Ratchasima. Her mother and her husband confirmed the death this afternoon.

Her mother, Mrs. Plearn Saraithong, 50 told Mueang Chonburi police that “My daughter is a psychiatric patient and suffered from multiple mental disabilities.”

“She often went missing during her struggles with mental illness. Sometimes she took off her clothes and caused public disturbances.” Plearn continued.

“I am very sad. How can they do this to her?”

Ms. Chonthicha’s husband told police that “We have a young son together. My wife went missing around 9:00 PM last night We tried to search for her but failed. I don’t know how to tell our son about his mother.”

Mueang Chonburi Police Chief Colonel Suriya Yoopete told The Pattaya News that police believe the crime was a murder at this stage. They are investigating leads and hunting for a suspect.  They are also investigating if the victim was raped.
