Strong chance for more heavy rain in Pattaya area next few days

Pattaya-

The Thai Meteorological Department has forecast a strong chance of more thunderstorms and rain in the Chonburi and Pattaya area today.

The increased chance of rain, which follows several evening storms yesterday, is due to a Southwest monsoon over the Andaman Sea and Thailand. Additionally, a low pressure cell is over Laos and Vietnam which leads to additional rain the Eastern and Northeast regions.

As with yesterday, the strongest chance of rain will likely be around sunset and the evening time. Residents should be aware of the potential of possible heavy rainstorms and sporadic flooding.

A weak low pressure cell in the South China Sea is also strengthening, according to the Thai Meteorological Department, and will likely see the Chonburi area hit by additional storms on August 1 and 2.
