Asia International Guitar Festival and Competition coming to Bangkok next month

The Asia International Guitar Festival & Competition 2020 

7 – 9  August, 2020 | 20th edition

at Thailand Guitar Society, TGS Recital Hall, Sukhumvit Soi 60, Bangkok

 

BANGKOK, Thailand (July , 2020) — The Thailand Guitar Society in association with Savarez Strings and Silpakorn Music College are once again proud to present South-East Asia’s finest assembly of international guitar players, makers and enthusiasts. Now in its the twentieth  illustrious year, the Asia International Guitar Festival & Competition is the biggest and most vibrant event for classical guitar aficionados and music lovers in the region. This year’s agenda includes master classes, guitar exhibits, competitions and concerts by acclaimed world-class musicians hailing from around the globe. This event is sponsored by Savarez strings, Knobloch strings Aranjuez strings,  Kohnomusic, Guitar Paradiso, and Visesnut Guitar case.

 

A varied program sees three days of activities, each day culminating in a concert by one or more celebrated guitar maestros.

 

The event will also feature a guitar competition open to all, with the winner receiving a free guitar, case, string sets, certificate and performance rights at four prestigious events.

 

The full list of internationally-acclaimed guests include  Leon Koudelak (Czech), Earl Sulivan (Canada), Pongpat Pongpradit (Thailand), Woratep Rattana-umpawan (Thailand), Nalin Komentrakarn (Thailand), Apichai Chantanakajornfung (Thailand), Sakol Siripipatanakul (Thailand) the Siam Guitar Quartet (Thailand) and CGO – Classical Guitar Orchestra (Thailand).

All concerts are performed in TGS Recital Hall, Sukhumvit soi 60

Evening concert tickets are Bht 400 for adults and Bht 200 for students (with valid I.D.), i Observers of master classes and competitions pay Bht 100.
