Suspect arrested over theft of motorbike at beer bar

Pattaya-

A prime suspect has been arrested after reportedly stealing a motorbike from a beer bar owner in Pattaya.

A team of the Pattaya City Police led by Colonel Khemmarin Pitsamai arrested 52 year old Thai man Montri ‘Noi’ Kampan near a forest in Soi Chaiyapruek, Jomtien yesterday.

Last week, Mr. Nattaphon Jaroensuk, 27, a beer bar owner in Pattaya filed a report to police stating that his motorbike which was parked in front of his bar was stolen.

Police checked CCTV footage and managed to hunt down and finally arrest the suspect, Mr. Montri.

Montri allegedly admitted to police that he has no money to buy food and stole the bike hoping he could sell it.

He saw the motorbike with the key still inside so he stole it. He was going to sell the motorbike, he allegedly told police, but was then arrested.

Montri is facing charges of theft by night and remains in custody.
