Engineers determine that main structure of Sukhawadee House in Pattaya is structurally sound after devastating fire

The Sukhawadee House, which caught fire earlier this month, is structurally sound according to engineers.

A fire raged through the Sukhawadee House in Pattaya in the morning on the first day it re-opened, July 1st. The popular tourist attraction had been closed out of Covid19 precautions

Mr. Sirawat Chaichana, a specialist engineer hired to survey Sukhawadee House after the blaze told The Pattaya News “the main structure of the building was not affected by the fire.”

However, the inside of the building was destroyed and will need a complete renovation, he added.

Meanwhile, forensic police have stated they have still not determined the exact cause of the fire and the incident remains under investigation.
