Five high school teenagers injured, three seriously in Pattaya car accident

Five teenagers were injured, three seriously, when their vehicle crashed while reportedly driving at high speed around a curve in Pattaya last night.

The accident took place at approximately 1:30 AM on a curve on the overpass in Pattaya on Motorway number 7.

The vehicle had five occupants, all high school students in Chonburi between the ages of 16 to 18 years old. Their names were withheld due to being minors. Three of the teenagers were seriously injured, with two suffering only minor injuries. A video of the incident is below.

The driver of the vehicle was driving at high speed, according to one of the passengers, causing him to lose control on the overpass and flip the vehicle. The driver suffered severe injuries and was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

The passenger who spoke with The Pattaya News stated that the group had been at an entertainment venue earlier in the night, but denied that the group or driver were drinking alcohol.

Pattaya Police will continue their investigation into the incident as well as reviewing CCTV in the area.
