A minivan end up in a pond after an accident involving a SUV in Mueang Chonburi this week
Lieutenant Colonel Pongsaran Wongplub of the Highway Police was notified of the accident in the mid afternoon on Motorway Road in Nong Kangkok on Monday.

Police, emergency responders and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find a damaged SUV on the road.
In a nearby pond staff found a white minivan. Rescue workers took about one hour to move the minivan out of the pond by using a crane truck.
The minivan driver told The Pattaya News that he parked his van on the side of the road during a small rain shower for dinner.

He heard a loud noise and then he discovered that his van had been forced by the impact of a collision with an SUV into a nearby pond. Luckily, there was no one in the van at the time of the accident.
The SUV driver, who was also uninjured, told The Pattaya News that there was some water on the road surface. He had lost control of his SUV before colliding with the parked minivan.

This is the second accident this week in which a driver blamed a slippery road. A previous accident which stuck a pickup truck under a local overpass went viral on social media. Read more about that incident below.
