The prime suspect who attacked an elderly shop owner in Pattaya earlier this week has been arrested in Rayong today, June 20, 2020.
The 42 year old male suspect is accused of brutally attacking an elderly local convenience shop owner in Banglamung this week.

A team of police led by the Chonburi Provincial Police Commander Major General Prakarn Prajong and the Banglamung Police Chief Colonel Pattanachai Pamornpiboon arrested the suspect Somsak ‘Au’ Tipprapayamyam.
He was arrested at a resort in Rayong this afternoon after a tip following his image being broadcast on news media nationwide. Police seized from him 8,000 baht cash and a knife.
He is facing charges of robbery causing serious physical injuries.
Major General Prakarn said the suspect got on a taxi from Pattaya to Rayong earlier this weekend when he became aware he was being hunted by Banglamung police.
The suspect has allegedly admitted to the crime and performed a re-enactment this afternoon. According to Banglamung Police, the suspect also admitted that he was drunk and destitute. He had argued with the injured woman before when he bought some goods at her store, according to the statement of the suspect.
The reenactment was conducted in Pattaya today and the suspect remains in police custody.
The 68 year old victim survived the attack and is recovering in a Pattaya area hospital.
