Cyclist rescued after accident in Banglamung Forest

An adventure cyclist has been rescued after a bicycle accident in a Banglamung forest today.

Rescue workers were notified of the accident at 10:00 AM in a forest near the Khao Maikaew area.

Rescue workers took a walk for two kilometers from the nearest road into the forest to find the injured cyclist, 31 year old Mr. Thanachai Poecharoen. Thanachai had several injuries from a fall and was unable to stand.

He was carefully moved from the forest and carried for two kilometers by a group of rescue workers before being taken to a local hospital.

His friends, who were biking with him, told The Pattaya News that they were cycling for exercise in the forest. Mr. Thanachai has lost control of the bicycle on a small hill and crashed, falling and injuring his ribs. Medical workers confirmed the victim had several rib injuries and will be treated at a local hospital.

Thanchai is expected to recover from his injuries, stated medical staff at the scene of the incident.
