A fire caused significant damage to a local home in the Nongprue area of Pattaya last night.
Fire fighters were notified of the incident at 9:00 PM at a house at the Paradise Villa 1 housing estate.

Fire fighters with two fire engines and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find the home completely ablaze. Billowing smoke could be seen from the area of the laundry room of the home.
It took about an hour to put the fire completely under control. The home was significantly damaged and no residents were found in the home at the time of the incident.
A security guard who works at the housing estate told The Pattaya News that a house keeper had called him to inform him the house was on fire and to contact additional support.
Nongprue police are continuing their investigation to find the cause of fire. At this stage, they believe a short circuit in the home could have been the culprit.
