Thailand announces one new case of the Covid-19 Coronavirus and one additional death

Bangkok-

The Spokesman for the Thai Government agency responsible for measures around controlling the Covid19 Coronavirus announced one new confirmed case of the Covid-19 Coronavirus this morning and one additional death.

The new case is imported from a Thai national recently returned from Saudi Arabia. This marks the eighth day in a row with zero new confirmed locally spread cases of the virus nationwide.

The death is an 80 year Thai man with previous health issues in Narathiwat which is in the South of Thailand near the Malaysian Border.

This marks a total of 3,083 total cases since the start of the outbreak earlier this year in Thailand.

A total of 2,966 cases have fully recovered and been released from hospitals with one more person released overnight. 59 people remain in treatment nationwide.

There have now been 58 deaths in the country from the disease.
