Thailand announces one new case of the Covid-19 Coronavirus, imported from Saudia Arabia

Bangkok-

The Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration, or CCSA in Bangkok this morning announced a total of one new imported case of the Covid19 Coronavirus in the entire country.

The case was imported from Saudi Arabia. Today is the fifth day in a row with no new locally spread cases confirmed or recorded in the entire Kingdom of Thailand. The case was announced by Dr. Panprapa Yongtrakul the assistant spokesperson for the CCSA.

Chonburi, where Pattaya is located, has had no new confirmed cases in 36 days. Pattaya City has had no new recorded cases in 46 days.

Thailand has recorded a total of 3,077 cases since the start of the infection nationwide but over the past several weeks the vast majority of cases have been imported from overseas as Thailand works to eliminate or reduce to near zero local transmission of the virus.
