Pattaya-
The Nong Nooch Gardens, arguably one of Pattaya’s largest tourist attractions and very popular with domestic Thai tourists has announced a reopening on May 30 with special offers for local permanent Chonburi residents under the slogan of ‘New Normal, New Nongnooch Garden’.
A special religious ceremony was held yesterday for good luck before the re-opening at the Nong Nooch Gardens, including several prominent local monks participating.
The president of the Nong Nooch Garden, Kamphon Tansatja, told The Pattaya news that they are preparing to open again after getting permission from the government for flower gardens and outdoor gardens in the current phase under the slogan ‘New Normal, New Nong Nooch Gardens’.
The garden will be reopened on May 30. Next month, there will also be free entry fees for permanent Chonburi residents with proper identification for the whole month.
Kamphon noted that although foreign tourists were not currently allowed to enter Thailand, the park is one of the most popular domestic tourism attractions in the country and a significant amount of their patrons are Thai nationals. They hope by reopening to kickstart domestic tourism this summer in Chonburi.
All patrons will enter through a disinfectant tunnel. Temperature checks and hand sanitizer will be given. Everyone must be wearing face masks throughout the park, Kamphon added.
The park has been closed for close to two months due to Covid19 and government regulations but has now gained permission to re-open as they are considered a garden style park which is allowed under current government regulations. The park has added many additional safety regulations such as social distance style seating on park vehicles.
The Pattaya News notes that some shows and entertainment at the park may be temporarily canceled due to current government bans on entertainment style shows and that patrons should check for availability of shows before arriving.
