Bangsaen-
Mr. Narongchai Khunpluem or Tui, the Mayor of Saen Suk Municipality, Chonburi province, posted on his social media accounts this afternoon that he was considering ordering the closure of the exercise paths and road around Bangsaen Beach due to violations of the current emergency decree orders.

This comes only days after the paths and areas around the beach were legally opened for exercise only.
All beaches in Chonburi, at the order of the Chonburi Governor and Provincial Disease Control Committee, are closed for all activities until at least the end of May.
However, paths and roads around beaches were reopened provided they were used strictly for exercise such as walking, running and cycling.

Mayor Tui, however, said law enforcement has spoken with him and provided several pictures that show many people continue to use the beach paths as areas to gather and socialize, including drinking alcohol and eating in large groups. All such activities are currently against the emergency decree in place to help control the spread of the Covid-19 Coronavirus.

Mayor Tui said he will be taking the matter under advisement and he did not want to close the paths but if people continued to gather and disobey the rules in place he would do so.
